I heard that elders who are the Zoom meeting hosts are actually telling rank and file to literally stand for song and prayer. Dressing up for this Zoom meeting is bad enough...but to direct the homebound JWs who are dialed in via Zoom to stand up during song & prayer is way wacko!

by 1234 inthink of the possibilities, if this technology is all they have to stay in touch with their minions think of the wonderful possibilities..... 1. think of what just one molotov cocktail or flame thrower could do to their broadcasting room and the "world wide work.
2. or better yet if "v" (for vendetta) hacked into their broadcasting system...and told them the real truth.
3. just one rogue bethelite could have all kinds of fun..... i can dream can't i.....

Who `d a Thought The GB would Listen to the United Nations And Stop Witnessing for Jehovah.?
by smiddy3 in"we must obey god rather than men" act.5:29 has sure been discarded now and the gb are obeying the united nations world health organization and shutting down all of their "witnessing" operations ,very effectively i might add.. instead of boldly proclaiming the kingdom message as they used to blow there own trumpet about obeying god rather than men they are now more in fear of what the superior authorities will do to them if they don`t obey them.. this is something nobody banked on ever happening least of all the governing body of jehovah`s witnesses that the preaching work would come to a standstill .. of course they will put a spin on it ,that there protecting the health and well being of their members and the public.. but the fact remains they are not trusting in jehovah to protect their members nor are they trusting in jehovah to keep the "worldwide preaching work" going.. what do you think ?.

Indeed...The JW leadership does have a dilemma on their hands to deal with. Instead of chaos, anarchy & confusion among neighbors and communities...most people are kind to one another while at the same time endeavoring to obey government officials. JW rank & file were expecting the worst in people at a time like this. Instead JWs are seeing kindness, goodness & compassion being expressed by government officials, the medical health authorities & people in general. The JW rank & file are going to be looking for an explanation from their leaders as to why, in this "wicked system of things", there is sooo much goodness and caring during these difficult times. Many a Jehovah's Witness is thinking..."What The Hell"!
And then to top it off as you say smiddy3...Jehovah's organization is taking direction from the so called wild beast!

at the moment lots of jdumbs are using the 40 minute free modes, but the paper says it has made it free since the corona crisis.. i was just thinking this could lead to either a problem for jdumbs if zoom puts a hefty price for users or,their may be a opportunity for washtowel to dig their fingers into the pie as we have seen in their dealings.
its all about the money.. perhaps washtowel will develop their own and sell it to their members since they have most of this technology set up....donations can pour in again like water.... what are your thoughts!.

Yuck! I joined a JW Zoom meeting the other day. I think it was the Book Study meeting. One person commenting didn't realize how close he was to the camera...you could actually see his cavities...disgusting! A young person was soo close to the camera that you could see acne. An older person was close enough to see their old wrinkly skin. All in all...Zoom was a nightmare experience for me.🤣🤣🤣

Just got word that most congregations in Orange County California (south of Los Angeles) area have canceled all congregation meetings (midweek & weekend) including meetings for field service until further notice. This includes all cart witnessing...everything JW related has been put on hold due to virus concerns.

by TallTexan ini haven't been to a meeting in years, but i was recently told by a friend of mine that they have really been hammering the 'use of your valuable things in support of the kingdom' in many of the talks and thursday night parts.
i know they used to mention it all the time, but he said it's gotten really bad lately.
i told him that's because the membership in the western (translate that to "richer"...lol) countries has really fallen off and even become negative in many countries and that the 3rd world countries can't contribute enough to support the great publishing empire.

I've always said that this cult has created a monster in the form of the WTBTS. Like all monsters, the WTBTS has an insatiable appetite that's difficult to satisfy. An organization the size of the WTBTS has a large overhead of costs, debt and liability that it needs to satisfy and meet on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis. Unless this organization has a source of revenue to cover it's never-ending demands...the only recourse in order to prolong its ultimate demise is to eat itself from the inside out...which is what we see happening today.

these three choices were forced on king david, not for murdering people, not for raping women, not for lying, stealing, or any crime we can think of in our modern world that is repugnant, but simply for taking a census or in other words, counting people.. for counting people, jehovah forced a decision on david that involved the lives of thousands upon thousands of innocent people.. the choices all dealt with the “way” jehovah would kill thousands of unsuspecting loyal worshipers.. 1 chronicles 21.

Another account in the Bible that has always troubled me is in 1Samuel 22:6-23...where King Saul in a crazy & jealous rage orders one of his servants by the name of Doeg to kill high priest Ahimelek and his entire family for something very petty. Doeg doesn't stop there...he then went on and struck down an additional 85 of Ahimelek's under priests. The account at vs 18 and 19 states:
"Then the king said to Doʹeg: “You turn and assault the priests!” Immediately Doʹeg the Eʹdom·ite went and assaulted the priests himself. He killed on that day 85 men wearing the linen ephʹod. He also struck Nob, the city of the priests, with the sword; man as well as woman, child as well as infant, bull, donkey, and sheep, he put to the sword."
That was one hell of a senseless slaughter of innocent life in just one day. Why did God who these priests and their families were devoted to allow such a gruesome thing to take place?
